Event Details

Action Youth Media proudly presents a yearly selection of short films created by local youth in our Season Showcase. These films focus on important issues and highlight the voices of young creators, storytellers, and filmmakers in the community. This year's showcase includes two student films, The Green Solution and Finding Hope: Paving a Way to Creativity, produced by our Summer DOCS 2023 film apprentices and our summer workshop students. In addition to this, we are excited to showcase East of the River, a short film made by Phil Bouknight and Amin El Siwi, who will also be our special guests. The event will conclude with a Q&A session with the filmmakers. We are proud to honor and recognize the local talent behind these films that make a difference in our community.
